Over the past six years, On Board(hers) has conducted approximately fifty workshops, engaging around 200 immigrants. This documentary captures the journey of a group of immigrants in France during their transformative workshops in 2021.

Guided by the photographs of Shomei Tomatsu, a renowned photographer representing post-war Japan, Hikari travels to Nagasaki. There, he is invited by a self-proclaimed revolutionary, Tomobe, to participate in the production of a documentary film, leading Hikari to trace the remnants of war in Nagasaki and Okinawa. Along the way, encounters with resilient individuals like Amy, raised hearing war stories from her grandmother, and Itosu, who deeply loves Okinawa and his family, lead to a significant shift in Hikari’s life.
